Dear Friend of Petrified Forest,
As this year ends, I hope you will consider a gift to Friends of Petrified Forest. Our non-profit organization works to assist Petrified Forest National Park in multiple ways.
In recent years we have supported the acquisition of new equipment as the park’s scientists discover and interpret previously unknown species of ancient forms of life—discoveries of global significance.
We have also supported park interns in the sciences and education. We are told by park staff that these interns do invaluable work in advancing the scientific and educational mission of the park.
For the coming year, our goal is to raise funds in support of these interns. What is exciting to us is to learn not only how the interns further the scientific and educational work of the park, but often go on to have meaningful careers within their science disciplines.
Your gift will help us help the park advance our understanding of the past, whether it be the paleontology of the early Triassic or the lifeways of ancestral Puebloan people whose descendants have connections to this unique landscape.
