The Board of Directors of Friends of Petrified Forest National Park give a huge thank you to all who came out for Petrified Forest National Park Friends Day 2016!
Friends Day is a chance for people who love the park to gather and learn about challenges and opportunities facing Petrified Forest.
The day includes, field tours, lectures and social gatherings with National Park Service leaders and board members of The Friends of Petrified Forest. We talk about what has been accomplished to better the park in the past year and our plans for the future.
The following day is National Public Lands Day and features a volunteer project with a chance to visit areas of the park closed to the public.
Please “Save the Date” for Friends Day and National Public Lands Day September 29th and 30th, 2017!
